Integrative Psychotherapist

Being an Integrative Psychotherapist I am informed by different theories, philosophies and techniques that help broaden the way that we work together, enhancing my ability to adapt to your ever changing developmental needs.  My core model of training is Clarkson's 5 -Strand Model of the Therapeutic Relationship.

I work privately for the NHS as part of a local GP surgery, and am currently registered with healthcare providers Bupa, Pru Health, WPA, & Cigna. I have also featured in articles such as 'Stylist Magazine' as an expert speaker.

My theoretical approaches included: Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Attachment Theory, Child Developmental Psychology, Existential therapy, Transpersonal psychology and Psychosynthesis, Rational Emotional Behavioural Therapy, CBT, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, Mindfulness & Guided Meditation & Evolutionary Psychology.

I am a professionally trained and registered member of the British Association of Counselling Psychotherapy (MBACP), and can be found on the BACP website It's Good To Talk for professionally registered therapists.  I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and my professional experience incorporates expertise from working extensively within private and professional mental health organisations across London.  To promote Good Practice and maintain professional standards of care, I attend regular clinical supervision as suggested by BACP guidelines.

I came to meet Jonathan following an emotional and physical crisis. Through his caring, non-judgemental, compassionate approach, I have developed an understanding of my emotional history and why my current feelings and behaviour were so confusing. I have come to terms with past events and relationships and can now exist in the present without fear. For the first time in my life, I am in control of me. I cannot recommend Jonathan enough for anyone who is considering counselling as a way to explore their behaviour and feelings to achieve a happy, confident, present self.

I am a fully qualified SMART Group Facilitator, and certified in Motivational Interviewing, Rational Emotional Behavioural Therapy (REBT) & Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I have specialised within the field of addiction and trauma work, including 12 Step treatment centres, where I have worked extensively and diversely. This has led me to develop the U.N.I.T.E.S model (Understanding, Network of Support, Independence, Time and Trust, Environment, Structure and Strategy), which I use additionally with Families, Couples Counselling, Group Therapy, Structure Group Workshops and One to One Psychotherapy Sessions, with great success.  I am also currently registered with the Counselling Directory.
